RESILIENT
READINESS
Empowering communities to be proactive in their disaster preparedness and response efforts.
RESILIENT READINESS
OVERVIEW.
As climate impacts continue to bring more frequent and severe storms to historically marginalized and under-resourced communities, our Climate Change Community Teams (CCCT) CRC has heard directly the need for more clear and comprehensive communication on how to prepare for the next floods, fires, and extreme heat, as well as what to do in response.
In 2023 & 2024, Climate Resilient Communities has developed a disaster preparedness program and have collaboratively worked with our CCCT partners to host over 100 Belle Haven residents for an in-person preparedness training, equipping every family with free emergency kits to help navigate disasters, as well as stipends and free dinner meals for participation.
