RESILIENT EDUCATION
OVERVIEW.
The Resilient Education Program is a pivotal initiative in Climate Resilient Communities overarching effort to cultivate climate-resilient communities, especially within frontline communities that have long faced disproportionate impacts from climate change, particularly among youth. By developing a portfolio of work specific to education, the program seeks to bridge the knowledge gap and empower residents with the critical information and skills needed to navigate and mitigate the effects of a changing climate.
Our educational initiatives go beyond traditional learning by fostering a deep understanding of climate issues while promoting active engagement and participation in developing solutions.
We believe in empowerment through increasing awareness and tailored educational resources, to which Resilient Education ensures our communities are not only informed, but also equipped to advocate for their needs, make informed decisions, and take collective action to build resilience.

HOW WE WORK:
RESILIENT EDUCATION
PORTFOLIO.
YOUTH CLIMATE COLLECTIVE
Operated through CRC’s Resilient Education programming, the Youth Climate Collective (YCC) is an educational initiative that promotes youth engagement (teenagers to young adults) and leadership in climate justice and environmental topics.
At its core, the YCC training program is a career-exploration opportunity rooted in establishing a strong sense of connection to the regional environmental stewardship, as well as its connection to the surrounding communities. While most learning will take place in the sense of young adult self-discovery, the program integrates its learning to skills in environmental and social justice, environmental science, and leadership.
