Through our direct work with residents in frontline communities, we have gained insight into the urgent need for comprehensive home upgrade and repair services in East Palo Alto.

As part of Stanford’s Health Equity Ambassadors Course, the Resilient Homes Team designed and administered a survey to East Palo Alto residents to better understand the community’s priority home repair needs.

To inform our Rain Garden installation project and initiative across East Palo Alto, CRC incorporated the expertise and services of HighTide Intelligence.  Through their publication of "Investigation into the Efficacy of Rain Gardens as a Nature-Based Solution for Community-Level Flood Mitigation in East Palo Alto", CRC and our partners have been able to identify key sites and areas to install our rain garden projects for residents.
