United Alviso for Change
CRC has been working in the neighborhood of Alviso since 2024, launching the Alviso Climate Change Community Team, United Alviso for Change, and watching community dedication to the team and to climate resilience grow ever since. During that time, the Alviso CCCT has worked tirelessly to host workshops and provide resources for its community. CRC has also partnered with Santa Clara University to dive deeper into the environmental vulnerabilities and climate change risks the neighborhood of Alviso faces, and we are excited to share the fruits of this partnership: researched documentation on where things stand, what can be done, and where to go from here.

Alviso Historic Neighborhood Environmental Vulnerability & Flood Risk
Positioned at the frontline of environmental risk in Silicon Valley, the Historic District of Alviso has been a decades-long municipal oversight by the City of San Jose, representing a critical case study in climate change vulnerability.

Climate Vulnerability Assessment of Alviso
Thank you so much to the Santa Clara University student team along with Dr. Christopher Bacon and his Climate Justice and the Common Good initiative on campus. We are incredibly grateful for Dr. Bacon's long-term partnership and support to amplify CRC's work in the neighborhood of Alviso, San Jose, and Santa Clara County with his research on environmental justice and food access. We look forward to this being a launching point of further exploration for climate vulnerabilities led by the community of Alviso, alongside our partners at Alviso in Action and our resident leaders who are committed to the Alviso Climate Change Community team along with the other stakeholders we bring along the way.
